We invite you to join the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District as we foster a love for the natural world in our community. Below is a list of nature education events where we need volunteer help. New events will be added periodically, so check back for updated information or subscribe to our volunteer newsletter for updates.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL EVENTS LISTED BELOW.
Please bring reusable water bottles to drink from throughout the day. This simple step will assist us in our efforts to reduce waste.
You must be 14 years or older to volunteer at these events. You must wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and weather appropriate clothing, as you may be both indoors and outdoors.
Join forces with the Friends of Tualatin Hills Nature Park and Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District for our Spring Native Plant Sale & Resource Fair! Help out with event set-up and tear down, greeting patrons and customer assistance. Volunteers should bring a re-usable water bottle to drink from throughout the day. Multiple shifts are available. Lunch will be provided!
Meeting Place: The Tualatin Hills Nature Park is located at 15655 SW Millikan Way, in Beaverton. Volunteers will meet for a brief orientation inside the Nature Park Interpretive Center before getting started. 97006
Oregon has two native turtles species that are listed as critical for conservation, the western pond turtle and the western painted turtle. This training is for volunteers interested in performing turtle surveys for THPRD or a partner organization.
Meeting Place: This training will be held at the Tualatin Hills Nature Center, in the Beaver Den. The Tualatin Hills Nature Center is located at 15655 SW Millikan Way, in Beaverton. 97003
