Events/One Day Opportunities (ages 14+) - volunteer opportunities that support upcoming special events at facilities throughout the park district
Habitat, Trails & Gardening Projects (ages 14+; ages 10 - 13 with an adult) - outdoor volunteer opportunities that focus on improving natural areas, trails and gardens throughout the district
Camp Rivendale Counselors - Ages 16 - 18 years (Must complete sophomore year by June 30, 2019)
Camp Rivendale is a summer day camp that provides recreational opportunities for youth and young adults who have physical, emotional and/or developmental disabilities. Juniors and seniors who enjoy the outdoors, are engaging, outgoing and would like to work with people with disabilites are encouraged to apply. Volunteers help out with field trips, swimming outings, games, crafts, songs, and much more!

Junior Camp Counselors - Ages 14 - 17 years
The Tualatin Hills Athletic Center and Aquatic Center, located on the HM Terpenning Recreation Complex are looking for mature teens with an interest in working with children to volunteer as junior camp counselors with summer sports and aquatics programs.These volunteers assist staff with organized games, traditional sports and much more! Volunteers can select the weeks they serve throughout the summer.
Leaders In Training Experience (LITE) Program - Ages 13 - 17 years (Must complete the 8th grade by June 30, 2019)
The Leader in Training Experience (LITE) volunteer program is a junior camp counselor program for youth ages 13-17 years. This is a great career development opportunity for youth, as applicants have to go through interviews, train with staff and work hands-on with children enrolled in summer camps or the Nature/Rec Mobile outreach programs. A number of previous participants have gone on to become interns and camp staff.
LITE volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 80 hours of service over the summer. These hours can be acquired over the course of two full weeks (Monday - Friday) of summer camp and/or volunteering at any public outreach event scheduled throughout the summer. Please note that scheduled camp weeks do not need to be consecutive. A program fee of $28 is due at the workshop session. Fee waivers for the program are available upon request.

Safety Town - Ages 12 - 15 years
Cedar Hills Recreation Center is looking for responsible and enthusiastic volunteers to help provide a safety education program for preschool children during the summer. Volunteers help with crafts, games, and songs, as well as outdoor and other recreational activities that are designed to teach children ages 4 - 6 how to be safe while still having lots of fun!
Participants must attend a training session held early in the summer and commit to attending one of the two week sessions. This is a great way to gain valuable work experience and develop leadership skills while volunteering!
