THPRD sponsors this free neighborhood event, which features fresh cider processed with antique presses by members of Boy Scout Troop 208.
Guests can browse the food and craft offerings of local vendors in the Country Store. Community partners, including the Cedar Mill Community Library and the Washington County Sheriff, will share information about local resources.
Lunch will be available from Retrolicious, a local mobile food vendor. Guests can enjoy lunch or dessert while listening to the folksy bluegrass music of Lauren Sheehan and her String Band, featuring Spud Siegel and friends.
At 2 pm, THPRD will hold a brief ceremony to dedicate the Sue Conger Memorial Boardwalk, which affords visitors an accessible trail to view Cedar Mill Falls. Conger was instrumental in preserving the JQAY House and grounds for the community.
THPRD’s Rec Mobile will provide games and activities for kids under the hickory tree. A portion of the proceeds from food and craft sales will go to the JQAY House restoration fund.
Free parking will be available at Cedar Mill Bible Church (12208 NW Cornell Road) after 1 pm.
